![]() ![]() I've played it a handful of times and for whatever reason it still hasn't clicked for me. ![]() I play it quite often and it has held up well to many plays.Ħ - Res Arcana - I'm hoping this game will climb up higher after a few more plays. This game was my first non Yahtzee exposure to the roll/flip and write genre. I think Architects of the West Kingdom could climb as high as #2 on this list but I'm not comfortable putting it up there just yet.ĥ - Cartographers - always a casual good time. ![]() It's a really clever worker placement game, perhaps my favourite one, though Targi gives it some competition. But that one game was up there amongst the most fun I've ever had playing a board game for the first time. This game has great table presence too which never hurts.ģ - The Quacks of Quedlinburg - it's just such silly fun! The bag building is well implemented but really what keeps me coming back to Quacks is that push your luck element.Ĥ - Architects of the West Kingdom - it was hard to rank this one because I've only managed to play it once so far. An absolute gem of a game.Ģ - Azul - I'm a huge fan of open drafting mechanisms that lead to hate drafting as well as tile placement so I guess it's no surprise that both Patchwork and Azul top my list. It creates the most exciting moments and difficult decisions. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ġ - Patchwork - my favourite game of all time so it's an easy #1! I think Patchwork is unimprovable, it is a wonderful perfect information abstract game with a high skill ceiling. It's what 10 games BGG considers the best of the ones you've played, and how you would personally rank those games. So, it's not what your 10 favourite games are and how they rank on BGG. And let us know a bit about why you rank them in that order!Įdit for clarity: out of the games you own/have played, which 10 are ranked the highest on Board Game Geek? Now take those same 10 games and put them in order according to your preferences. Next, reorder that list in descending order to reflect how you would rank them.
